A little bit of history
Sweden has been part of the Europe region of the official TPCI circuit for many years. It has hosted a few Regional Championships. Sweden’s greatest VGC success was American-Swede Nils Dunlop‘s top 4 place at the 2018 World Championships.
The most recent tournaments held in Sweden was the 2020 Malmö Regionals, played in Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield in the VGC Series 3 ruleset in March 2020. German Tobias Koschitzki defeated Frenchman Alexandre Lissardy in the finals.
