Overview
The Dortmund Regional Championships is an official TPCi Regional-level event for Pokémon VGC, TCG and Pokémon GO. It is the first Regional-level event of the 2025 season in the European circuit.
The ruleset is VGC Regulation Set H, and it is played using open team lists. It is the first major Regulation Set H event in Europe.
A little bit of history
Germany has been part of the Europe region of the official TPCi circuit for many years. It has hosted multiple major events, including Regional Championships, old-era National Championships and the 2019 and 2022 Europe Internationals. Germany’s greatest VGC success happened when Michael Kelsch reached the finals of the 2023 World Championships.
The most recent tournament held in Germany was the 2024 Dortmund Regional, played with the Regulation Set F in February 2024. The finals saw German Florian Temme defeat fellow compatriot Nick Schrott to win his first Regional title!
